I have years of experience teaching the creative skills necessary for fiction writing, with two non-fiction books published: How to Write Children’s Short Stories (for the middle reader) & How to Develop (Imaginative, Insightful and Credible) Short Story Ideas.
I also have a theatre company, Banba Folk Theatre, based in Leeds, UK, which puts on a wide variety of plays, many of an Irish-themed nature. Find out more about craftsmanship for the playwright on my other site. I offer a reading service for both scripts and short stories over there.
On both my sites, one for drama writing and one for fiction writing, I offer fresh perspectives on developing the respective writing skills and the imagination necessary to succeed with these crafts.
I’m on my second reading of your book “How to Write Children’s Short Stories. It is packed with so much good information that I have begun to think of it as my bible. Jerry, the part about attitude in the chapter on character was a light bulb over my head moment! I’ve read a multitude of books on writing but that nugget is brilliant. It is also unique, I’ve not read it in any other book. I want to give it a ten star rating but they only allow for five on Amazon. Thank you sooo much for writing it.
